About !Reserve
==============

!Reserve is an application for reserving certain names that are required to
be unique under RISC OS. These names are as follows :-

          Application names
          Module names
          Environment variables (ie: foo$dir)
          Font names (ie: Trinity.Medium.Italic)
          Wimp sprite pool names (ie: sm!foo)
          Module star commands
          Scrap directory names

It is important that all the above names are unique to prevent clashes
between applications.

Loading
=======

To load !Reserve, double click on the '!Reserve' icon in the filer viewer.
This will then install the application on the icon bar. If you have already
made a reservation using the application then a dialogue box will be
displayed on the screen informing you. If you wish to re-load the data that
you have already entered then you should click on the 'YES' icon. If you
do not wish to re-read the data then click on 'NO' and the application
will exit.

It is intended that the application should only be used once. Once a
reservation submission has been completed the whole application should be
returned to Acorn Developer Support on a disc (which should be E Format).
Each time you make a submission you will be writing data into the
application directory. Due to this it is a good idea to keep a master copy
of the application and each time a submission is required copy the master to
a floppy disc.

Entering Developer details
==========================

To save time when making a submission, it is a good idea to set the
developer details in your master copy of the application. This can be done
by selecting the menu option 'Set Details' on the icon bar menu and then
filling in the appropriate fields in the window that is opened. Once the
details have been entered, clicking on 'OK' will save the data to your
master copy. Each time you make a fresh copy of the application for a
submission, your developer details will already be set.
